1957 Corvette
Chevrolet introduces fuel injection and Wham-O introduces the Frisbee; both of which are the first of their kind in America. This is the year that Corvette achieves one horsepower for every cubic inch of engine displacement - another first in an American production automobile. Dick Clark hosts the first American Bandstand show as Dr. Dick Thompson drives a Corvette to a GT class championship in the 12 Hours of Sebring race.
